boston-ghost-tours.com ("we", "us") is an independent guide to Boston ghost tours. This policy explains what limited information we collect and how it is used. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.
1. Information we collect
We do not ask you to create an account or submit personal details. We do not run our own analytics or advertising cookies. The only data collected directly relates to:
- Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Netlify) automatically records standard request data such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the time of your visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting and aggregate traffic statistics.
- Third-party booking widgets. When you view or interact with the GetYourGuide availability widget, or click through to a booking partner, GetYourGuide may set its own cookies and process data under its own privacy policy. We do not control those cookies.
2. Third-party services
We embed and link to GetYourGuide, our affiliate booking partner. When you click a booking link or load a widget, GetYourGuide may use cookies and tracking to attribute the referral and measure performance. Please review the GetYourGuide privacy policy for details. We also load fonts from Google Fonts and our pages are served by Netlify.
3. How we use information
Aggregated, non-identifying log data helps us understand which content is useful and keep the site secure and online. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) — including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing. Because we hold little more than standard server logs, these requests are usually limited in scope, but we will honour valid requests where applicable.
